Westbound Amtrak-IRM CB&Q Nebraska Zephyr Special Train
Title:  Westbound Amtrak-IRM CB&Q Nebraska Zephyr Special Train
Description:  Illinois Railway Museum's Chicago Burington & Quincy Nebraska Zephyr, running as Amtrak Train #971 is making track speed of 79 MPH on the BNSF Brookfield Sub. during an all day excursion from Chicago Union Station to West Quincy, MO and back. The train will bed down tonight in its home at IRM in Union, IL. Never in my life did I figure I'd see this, the "Train of the Goddesses" running wide open on home rails unassisted. This photo was featured in the December 2012 issue of Trains Magazine.

Title:  Eastbound Amtrak-IRM CB&Q Nebraska Zephyr Special Train
Description:  Illinois Railway Museum's Chicago Burington & Quincy Nebraska Zephyr, running as Amtrak Train #972 highballs out of Quincy on the BNSF Brookfield Sub. starting its way back to Chicago Union Station, and its home of Union, IL later tonight. A sight and sound I never figured I would experience unfolded before my very eyes today and the "Train of the Goddesses" was opened up big time on home rails.
