Rolling down the bridge approach towards Henderson, KY over the Ohio River Floodplain on the CSX Henderson Sub. was this CSX Train with a consist representing each of the 3 major CSX Schemes. In order they are YN3 "Dark Future", YN1 "Stealth", and YN2 "Bright Future". The barn is appropriately placed as to stay out of the flood waters that recently inundated this area, as evidenced by the slicked over silt covered field. |

This is a good amount of the railfans in attendance today. Sonny Sellers is shown to the left, Joe Ferguson is at the left in the bed of the truck, beyond that, everbody else in the photo was somebody whom I'd never met, or don't recall meeting, anyway. I got to see some familier faces, put some faces with names, and meet new people entirely. All in all I had a great time, and everybody was professional in the way we conducted ourselves. Looking a whole lot like a MKT Local 30 years ago, MNA Train NEVSWI 30 comes into town on the MNA Clinton Branch under US Highway 71 with ex-MKT 201 on the point in a scheme very similar to the one it was delivered in, and running on home rails. MNA 4004 was built as MKT 201 in August 1968 and has plied these very rails off and on since then. |
