Locomotives Involved in Train-Truck Accident |

These were the first 2 of 4 units on the KMNOA 30 last Sunday on 9-30-07 when they struck a tractor trailer carrying cotton a few miles south of town, killing the truck driver. They were moved up here in the Dexter House Track around 1500 that afternoon. The truck exploded and was pushed .8 mile before the train came to a stop. This truly was a rare sort of accident, in that the unique set of circumstances presented made it nearly unavoidable. My heart goes out to the Ross Family, and the crew members on the train. |
