BNSF 8197, ex-BNSF 9247, nee-BN 9247, which wears 2 different versions of paint scheme on each side. This engine was used in determining what scheme would be used on their power after the merger, leading to it being unofficially named the decision engine. The other side features pinstripes along the color seperation lines rather than a solid band. Today it sits in storage with other SD60Ms awaiting an uncertain future, which could mean either being reactivated into service, or sitting around until the lease is up. |
