I finally pulled off the true over over under shot at Santa Fe Jct./BNSF Crossing. Every train in the shot was moving, albeit the move on the bottom, UP Train MLIKS 11, was slow rolling up to a red signal at Santa Fe Jct. However, BNSF Train S LPCLBA1 12A on the KCT Argentine Connection Flyover was flying along at around 30 MPH, and UP Train MDMKS 13 on the KCT High Line was moving along at 20 MPH or so. This photo appeared in the February 2012 issue of Railroads Illustrated Magazine and the December 2012 issue of Trains Magazine. |

This is train QNLCH2 20 (Manifest from North Little Rock, AR to Clearing, IL [Chicago]). It arrived at 00:25 (12:25 A.M.). Since it wasn't sitting in the north end of the yard, we were a little spooked, thinking the trace was messed up, but I spotted the dimmed headlight of this unit in the south end of the yard, near the industrial park. We really came after it for 1 of the Last 3 CNW's was in the consist! |

Former Mo-Pac SD40-2c |
| Description: |
What a treat! This is a former Mo-Pac SD40-2c, the "c" for coal. A few were built to BN specificatations for MP/UP/BN/D&RGW coal power pool. These were ballasted to up to 417,000 pounds for more tractive effort, had dynamic brakes, and were equipped with a MARS Light like Rio Grande units, and a rotating beacon like BN units. Otherwise they were MP features. It was built as 3219 before more coal service units were built. They were then renumbered into the 6000 series and more non-dynamic brake equipped units were built in the 3200 series.
