Description:  Lots of BN Cascade Green populates the BNSF Topeka Shops in the form of stored SD60Ms and SD40-2s. There's the BNSF 8197, ex-BN/BNSF 9247, which wears 2 different versions of paint scheme on each side, which led to it being named the decision engine.

Description:  After meeting a northbound, a consecutively numbered pair of clean mean green SD60Ms leave out of the siding at Willow Springs on the BNSF Thayer North Sub. Just to the right of the Frisco Signal is a brand new Darth Vader'signal that was purposely cropped out. Sad to see this line of searchlights go away.

Title:  BNSF 8197 - EMD SD60M
Description:  BNSF 8197, ex-BNSF 9247, nee-BN 9247, which wears 2 different versions of paint scheme on each side. This engine was used in determining what scheme would be used on their power after the merger, leading to it being unofficially named the decision engine. The other side features pinstripes along the color seperation lines rather than a solid band. Today it sits in storage with other SD60Ms awaiting an uncertain future, which could mean either being reactivated into service, or sitting around until the lease is up.
