DRGW 491 looks like it's all steamed up...but it's just the exhaust from 346. The 1902 Baldwin 2-8-2 has is Builder's #20829, originally a Class C-41 standard gauge locomotive, DRGW 1126. It was renumbered 1026 in 1924, rebuilt 1928 to narrow 3 foot gauge #491. It was donated in 1970 to the Colorado Historical Society and stored at Alamosa until it was moved to CRRM on long-term loan in 6-1985. |
