The first train Pat Scott and I caught today was NS Train 111 passing NS Train 115 in the siding north of the airport. It was nice to catch a Primer "Albino Catfish" Dash-9 before they are all painted. The first car was a Hi-Wide Load, a McDonnell Douglas Corporation well car for carrying airplane and aviation parts. Pat picked me up this morning from The Double Tree Inn at Westport at 8:30 A.M. for a day of railfanning in St. Louis, we finished around 2:30 P.M. |

Now on the move UP Train ASHAS 18 that we saw at Ives gets on the Chester Sub. at Dexter Jct., and comes up to the crew change. A train led by CN 5542 rolled south while this train was blocking the crossing so I chased it. |

Coming past the Bunge Corp. Elevator with 5 NS Units was UP Train MNLAS 16 through a hard rain. Needless to say I grabbed some of my grandpa's rain gear after I took this shot, I was SOAKED! There was quite a variety of NS Power on this train, including NS 9253 which is an Operation Lifesaver 25th Anniversary Locomotive. |

It appears UP 9087 (ex-CNW 8575) has been nearly reunpatched by NS with new numbers in place of the UP ones on the cab, new 8575 numberboards, CNW 8575 on the rear of the long hood, and the UP Shield is almost gone off the nose. Thanks to whoever reunpatched CNW 8575! It is still technically UP 9087, but that might change if it loses more UP Parts of the patch job. |
