It sure was nice to see an ex-MP SD50 back on home rails tonight. This baby was built as MP 5039 back in December 1984. It became UP 5039 and finally UP 9840. It is 1 of the 11 of the original 60 ex-MP SD50's on the roster and one of 28 total SD50's left counting ex-MP and DRGW Units. |

Westbound Manifest and I Got Reported as a Terrorist by a Citizen |
| Description: |
The Conrail led eastbound met this westbound manifest about a mile east of here. I got a call from the cops the next day because some stupid bitch drove by and thought I was a terrorist and called the police. Turns out they were supposed to let Homeland Security handle it but the local police department figured it was a non-issue after they ran our plates. |

We had a Mini Moron-O-Thon in Brian's backyard as Pat, IKE, Brian, Spiv, and I phoamed at the pretty Rio Grande and Espee Units. The Dash-8 was offline since it gave Dave "trouble" this morning and it was sent to the back of the consist. The only problem with the Dash-8 was the the fact that it was a Dash-8 and Spiv wanted to run 9859 on its last pre-mothball trip. |
