The Holiday Express has just pulled into Drexel for its first scheduled stop here on its 7th Annual Run. This was my first good look at the FP9's (excluding my brief glimpse of them in Shreveport this past June). They sure looked great in the late afternoon sun with the Pyle National Gyralight and Twin Sealed Beam Headlight. KCS 1 also has a nice Nathan P5. Nothing like a set of A-B-A Covered Wagons sitting in town for 5 hours. |

The business train runs back south through Drexel at 14:22 as KCS Train B-KCNO-05 past the former site of the KCS Depot at a good clip. The train had KCS Executives and Customers onboard headed for the Bowl Championship Series Football Game in New Orleans on Monday. The train left Kansas City at 13:00 today. It was a balmy 65 degrees today, and the clouds left early this morning, quite the opposite of last night's weather predictions, but I'm not complaining. |
