We went by the Sperry Shops after supper at Cracker Barrel. This is an Induction-Ultrasonic Rail Flaw Detector Car. They were rebuilt from 1920-1940s vintage gas electric cars called "doodlebugs". This is ex-CNW 300882 and is in the new paint scheme. |

SRS 813 and Doc's 806 meet at the Holiday Inn at Evansville. 806 has been troublesome lately, and ran 24 miles the next day before the motor threw a bearing and seized up. It was towed to a shop from a crossing. The motor will have to be replaced if it is to ever move again. |
