Coal Train |
Description: |
This was coal train symbol 2CNAAE 27 headed for AE at New Madrid. (That's pronounced New Mad-rid [like "angry" and "get rid of"], not Muh-drid like the one in Spain.) |

Main Street |
Description: |
About to cross Main Street in town. Some punks had put ballast on the rail, the wheels threw it off right at them and a family reunion was held by the tracks, people were taking photos of their children with the train passing behind them. |

We hit a small ridge and our speed slowed to 9.9, 0.1 below the 10 mph speed limit, I better kick it up a notch. |

Up to the BNSF Crossing |

I have the train almost to a stop as people race us to the crossing. There's dad waiting on me behind a building. This is where I got off and the crew continued to New Madrid and the Power Plant. |

Southbound UP Loaded Coal Train at the BNSF Crossing |
Description: |
After easing up to the gate, UP Train 2CNAAE 27 stops at the BNSF crossing shortly after a BNSF Train had passed by. We arrived 1 hour and 45 minutes and 14 miles after I got on at Parma. This would turn out to be the last time I shot a train on this particular stretch of the New Madrid Sub. |
