The Southern Pacific and Missouri Pacific Heritage Locomotives sit at the Neff Yard Diesel Shop. They'll go out on the SCBNL 08 tonight and pull Operation Lifesaver Passenger Trains around Arkansas and Missouri next week. |

Operation Lifesaver Special UP Train SPFSC 17 pulls up to the 1910 Mo-Pac Depot to load passengers for a trip up the De Soto Sub. to Williamsville, MO and back. Some of the people responsible for the trip's safe operation and participation today were UP Locomotive Engineers Mark Fisher and Jim Noon, UP Conductor Brian Gibbs, UP Locomotive Engineers and OL Presenters Mike McGill and Walter Lewis, UP Manager Operating Practices Clay Monroe, UP Senior Special Agent Steve Ray, along with everybody else from Missouri Operation Lifesaver, Poplar Bluff and Dexter Police, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Butler and Stoddard County Sheriff Departments, Fire Departments, EAS, Poplar Bluff and Dexter School Districts, as well as local government officials and news media. Hopefully somebody learned something today. It was a pleasure to help out as a brakeman today. |
