Title:
Northbound UP Intermodal Train
Description:
This was taken back before I knew WTF an artistic silhouette image was, even though I took it. Here we see UP Train ZLDYC 17 blasting past my old crossing with UP 3300 on the point. I remember how great of a horn she had at the time. Sometime during January 2005 while on the CSX in Georgia she acquired the Leslie RS-5T that was on the roof at the time. Talk about awesome. The train had 248 axles, it was traveling 51 mph, and it was 33 degrees outside, according to the detector at MP 157.9 on the UP Hoxie Sub. and my old notes.

Title:
UP 3300 - EMD SD40-2 in Storage
Description:
Retired and stored UP-United Spirit SD40-2, UP 3300 sits in Denver with a bunch of sold off engines. This engine won't be sold or scrapped, but it will not be immediately preserved. There is the possibility of going through the current SD40-2 Refurbishing Program at Jenks, and it may or may not be repainted in this scheme. We'll see what happens over the next few months.
