Even back when I didn't have to drive 8 hours to see a CNW, it was still nice to see them roll through occasionally. This was one of the last 10 operating CNW C44-9W's on the UP System and one of the last 14 at the time. Almost everything on this one was original, even the numberboards! Now, on 9-17-06, there are just 2 active CNW's, and both Dash-9's, CNW 8646 and 8701. |

Headed towards Dexter past MP 145 on the UP Hoxie Sub. was UP Train ZMXYC 14 with what was the first Kansas City Southern de Mexico Locomotive I've ever seen. This is an ex-TFM Partial Repaint. I remember thinking how weird the italic numberboards looked. |
