| Rocketing out of Idalia after a crew change at North Dexter is CNW 8701, one of the Last 2 CNW's on the point of UP Train QNLCH 10, which left North Little Rock, AR the night before at 23:23. The 8701 had been in UP's Jenks Shops at North Little Rock, AR since 3-31-06 and spent over 2 months there for maintenance. At the time it was feared that this engine was being repainted or renumbered, when in actuality the engine was not modified from its CNW appearance, other than the shop forces TOUCHED UP the green along the hood and the yellow Scotchlite. I figured I'd post a couple of the other remaining CNW unit, since its sister, 8646 has been hanging around my general area for a while now. |
