UPY 622 was UP 1622 until 4-21-10. Until then it was the UP 1622, even after a full repaint. The new UPY Number effectively brings to an end the era of holdover MP Roadnumbers on the UP. The UPY 924 was retired on 4-26-10 and will give its RCL Equipment to the UPY 622 at some point in Parsons, then will be moved to Denver, CO for the 7-14-10 Locomotive Auction. But, for now it's nice to see 2 pieces of ex-MP Equipment sitting coupled together at an ex-MP facility--just a couple dozen feet from the MP Heritage Locomotive. These came in on UP Train MNLKS 29. The SD70M was last used on UP Train MSIKC 04. |

| Description: |
39 sand empties come north on UP Train MEYVPS 01 at 215th and Antioch on the UP Coffeyville Sub. 24 cars go to Mankato, MN, and the rest to Valley Park, MN. I came down here to shoot UP 1988 and UP 1989 on the MCPFW 03, but thanks to DPU problems at Kenneth, the train didn't show until 2 hours after dark. |
