Title:  UP and BNSF Trains
Description:  I finally pulled off the true over over under shot at Santa Fe Jct./BNSF Crossing. Every train in the shot was moving, albeit the move on the bottom, UP Train MLIKS 11, was slow rolling up to a red signal at Santa Fe Jct. However, BNSF Train S LPCLBA1 12A on the KCT Argentine Connection Flyover was flying along at around 30 MPH, and UP Train MDMKS 13 on the KCT High Line was moving along at 20 MPH or so. This photo appeared in the February 2012 issue of Railroads Illustrated Magazine and the December 2012 issue of Trains Magazine.

Description:  Slowing down, gettilg ready to go in the hole for Amtrak is UP Train WSLAMZ 17. This train started out as the WIMAMZ 16 with a destination of East Ames, IA. It was annulled and sat for 12 hours at St. Louis and resymboled the WSLAMZ 17, with a destination of East Ames again. That destination was then extended to Cedar Rapids, IA. It went “around the world” in Kansas City (looped completely arhund down via the KCT) and ran north up the Spine Line to Des Moines. A route map of this thing would look obnoxious considering they could have sent it up through Illinois.

Description:  Here came a train through the 7 inch snow, at a slow speed but still blowing some snow around. We were really here for the third unit, which showed up in an Internet Trace as it left a location in Illinois. When it left North Dexter we came down to the tracks, soon after it departed Bernie it showed up here. We were shocked (but not disappointed) at what else was in the consist, like that second unit! The only thing that could have made it better would have been if one of the SD45's would have been leading.

Title:  Eastbound UP Intermodal Train
Description:  Coming down the Incline Track at The Gooseneck is UP Train ITAMNX 08 completing its detour. This train was rerouted from Gibbon Jct. via Des Moines and down rather than running through Marysville and Topeka. The train came down the Spine Line and around town and the lead unit is literally back on its regular route at this switch.
