Dennis and Betty were scheduled to leave tomorrow, but left today due to frequent Eagle Delays, good move! |

While we were enroute to Hope, AR to chase UP 844, we checked the status on 22. We passed the train about 2 miles south of Hoxie, then chased it back up here when we saw the Miller Lite Save the Taste Express on the rear. The train arrived at 6:38 A.M., 4 hours and 36 minutes late of its scheduled arrival of 2:06 A.M. When the train left, the gates went up and they had to ease forward and wait for them to go back down. |

The guy in the white shirt and the cap by the first car, furthest away from the train, was from San Antonio, a road foreman, he was wearing a Mercedes Benz Cap...who says railroaders aren't well paid, lol. The assistant engineer was looking back for Engineer Bubba, who went and got their breakfast from the dining car, ah yes, passenger railroading is alive and well in Poplar Bluff, Missouri today! |

Headed across the Wisconsin River Bridge near the confluence with the Mississippi River is the Eastbound SP 4449 Cross-Country Daylight Train in a scene from Wyalusing State Park that somewhat resembles the Pacific Northwest Region that is the engine's home. This is the first time I'd ever seen the Daylight GS-4 4-8-4, and I never imagined I'd be able to see it in the Midwest. Thanks to all the groups who made it happen. It was a fun chase. |

Here's another Bolt-O-Nose unit, the new grade crossing damage repair trend, pulling in on the Ann Rutledge from Chicago at 11:54, 44 minutes late of it's scheduled arrival of 11:10. Two women and a small kid were at the Amshack...one sent the kid to their house with another friend after something right after I told them that the train was less than 5 minutes out (the Texas Eagle took Athol Siding). So, her kid is gone and she couldn't board the train...dumbass. Whe asked if the train could wait the conductor said, "Are you kiddin' lady? We're already late!" |
