The engineer said that the MP Unit had bad AC (Air Conditioner, not traction motors) and couldn't lead the consist. He also said he would have just assuhed to be hot, just to be the one to drive it. He said I could get up on the MP, he'd act like he didn't see me. |

We were at Stoddard County Highway ZZ up the hill in a housing development that is under construction just west of Dexter as UP Train IHOYC 08 came by. It was supposed to have UP 1988, the MKT "Katy" Heritage Unit in the consist between these two. It obviously was not. We later found out that it was removed from the consist in Hoxie, Arkansas because it was giving a locked wheel detection. We searched every siding all the way to Arkansas and never found it! |

Backing up slowly through Bernie is UP Train ZYCHO 19 making a pick up. The train set out a locomotive and a couple intermodal cars to make a DXNL train at Dexter headed to North Little Rock. The dang UP 4859 led them again this trip. Yard Center likes putting that particular unit on the front all the time, which I hate. |

The Katy and the Mo-Pac follow UP 4859 on UP Train ZYCHO 19 just south of Bernie. After getting corrective information about their axle count from the UP Omaha Dispatcher, the train could exceed 35 mph, permission they received about this time because they really notched out the throttle here and rode along by another Cotton Field. |
