| Description: |
After switching out the lead unit, UP Train LMR38 20 heads down the KCT at the Gooseneck. The lead unit is a substitute for UP 2079, which quit running before the train left UP Neff Yard. The 3rd unit, is UP 1988, and is headed for RELCO in Albia, IA. It will be interchanged to the CP at Liberty which forwarded it to Albia. It is headed up there for a partial repaint to repair damage suffered by the paint on the engine hood after a fire in June. |

Headed through Birmingham Jct. is UP Train MKCKCB 13 with GMTX 2159 on the point. If you look closely, you will notice that the engineer's side front handrails are bent, along with the cut lever, and the nose is scraped and dented from apparently hitting a tree of some sort, as evidenced by the branches hanging off the engine. Oh yeah, there's an unpatched SP GP60 trailing. |
