Description:  Blasting up the KCT High Line behind a pair of matching Belle SD70ACe's is KCS Train G-HVUP 06, bound for the other side of the river, where a UP crew will take over and yard the hoppers at a grain elevator in Fairfax for loading. Sharp eyes might be able to pick out KCS 34, tie Southern Belle painted F-Unit at Union Station in Track 280.

Description:  An all EMD trio heads up UP Train QNPINP 03 on the UP River Sub. just west of Malta Bend. About 3/4 of the way to the end of this 10,000+ foot train is UP 1995, the CNW Heritage Locomotive, working as a DPU. This train was a monster with 133 loads, 37 empties, 17,412 tons and 10,541 feet.

Title:  KCS Special Business Train
Description:  It's a good day when you can get 4 matching F-Units in the same shot. Closer to the camera we have the KCS Southern Belle's power, and in the distance we have the former KCS 4, which was one used in the same capacity on the business train, back when all 4 wore the Brunswick Green like the passenger cars. Today #34 lives at Kansas City Union Station on display. The 2012 Holiday Express will wrap up in a few hours, and the A-B-A set will blast south with the Belle back to Shreveport and leave their matching sister behind.

Description:  I've been trying to get a shot of a train heading up the KCT Bluff Line since 2007, so this KCS Belle led empty will do. This is a hard shot to get unless you know about something coming off the KCS headed to the BNSF, being that those type of moves are basically the only thing that runs this way. I happened to be leaving Union Station when I saw them coming and headed back over here to set up.

Description:  A CP local runs light power down to Kansas City with a MILW Bandit on the point. Even though these are beat up, it's cool to see a unit wearing MILW paint on Ex-MILW track in 2012. This was the only move I saw up here today on the CP, since there was a moderate derailment north of here the night before which I hadn't heard about.
