Description:  After their diverging clear signal comes into view, this pair of Geeps throttle up at Santa Fe Jct. with the Mill Job in tow, UP Train MKCTN 12, headed for Trenton, MO. This job has undergone several changes over the past 3 years, at various times being symboled the LMR38/LMR39, MKCKCB, and now the MKCTN/MTNKC.

Title:  UP Local Train
Description:  This is UP Train LMR38 20 in UP Neff Yard. The 3rd unit is UP 1988 headed for RELCO in Albia, IA for a partial repaint to repair some fire damage received back in June. The UP 2079 quit running when they tried to leave so it was switched out for the GMTX 2159.

Title:  Southbound UP Local Train
Description:  After switching out the lead unit, UP Train LMR38 20 heads down the KCT at the Gooseneck. The lead unit is a substitute for UP 2079, which quit running before the train left UP Neff Yard. The 3rd unit, is UP 1988, and is headed for RELCO in Albia, IA. It will be interchanged to the CP at Liberty which forwarded it to Albia. It is headed up there for a partial repaint to repair damage suffered by the paint on the engine hood after a fire in June.

Title:  Southbound UP Manifest Train
Description:  Headed through Birmingham Jct. is UP Train MKCKCB 13 with GMTX 2159 on the point. If you look closely, you will notice that the engineer's side front handrails are bent, along with the cut lever, and the nose is scraped and dented from apparently hitting a tree of some sort, as evidenced by the branches hanging off the engine. Oh yeah, there's an unpatched SP GP60 trailing.
